Laws Concerning Carrying Concealed Firearms on Campus in South Dakota

While South Dakota law addresses the prohibition of licensed concealed handguns from elementary and high schools, it does not directly address colleges and universities.  The South Dakota Board of Regents has publically announced that all state colleges and universities must ban concealed firearms from all grounds and buildings.

As of August 21, 2013, no private or public universities, colleges, or community colleges permit weapons inside of buildings or on school grounds.
